There are currently no plans that I am aware of to implement this feature on the Video Assist.
However this isn't to say that the feature won't be implemented at some point in the future.
I have escalated this query to our development team for them to consider as a feature request.
I have also taken note of your email address so that I can contact you if I hear of any developments regarding this feature.
The only way workaround I can think of for your current configuration would be to rotate the camera 180 degrees to its normal upright position.
